Reception Manager (M/F/D)
Full-time – from December 2026 / by agreement
The reception desk is where many aspects of day-to-day hotel operations come together. As Head of Reception, you ensure that everything runs smoothly. You coordinate your team, organise daily workflows and, together with your staff, ensure that our guests receive professional and warm hospitality.
This role involves more than just organisational skills: you’ll be actively involved in day-to-day operations, act as the point of contact for your team, and maintain a clear overview even when dealing with special guest requests or challenging situations. Drawing on your experience, you’ll refine processes, implement quality standards and play a key role in ensuring our guests feel well looked after from the moment they arrive until they leave.
Your responsibilities:
- Managing, coordinating and organising the reception team
- Ensuring the smooth running of front- and back-office operations
- Drawing up and coordinating duty rosters and holiday schedules
- Actively contributing to day-to-day operations
- Providing professional service to our guests and handling special guest requests
- Monitoring and optimising internal processes and quality standards
- Processing and checking reservations, bookings and correspondence
- Dealing professionally with guest feedback and complaints
- Training and mentoring new staff members
- Working closely and liaising with management and other departments within the establishment
Your profile:
- Completed training in the hospitality industry or equivalent qualification
- Several years’ professional experience at reception, ideally in the upmarket hospitality sector
- Initial management experience or experience as a head of reception or deputy head of reception would be an advantage
- Strong organisational skills and a sense of responsibility
- Leadership skills and a passion for supporting and developing a team
- A hospitable personality with a strong focus on service and guests
- A confident, friendly and professional manner
- An independent, structured and solution-oriented approach to work
- The ability to cope with pressure and maintain a clear overview even in hectic situations
- Very good knowledge of German and Italian; knowledge of English would be an advantage
- Proficiency in using standard hotel and booking software
