Glacier Skiing

Skiing on the glacier 365 days a year

Unlimited skiing pleasure. Pistes as far as the eye can see. A huge skiing area with celebrities and après ski ... is not what you will find here! Sulden am Ortler is a skiing area for insiders: a small yet high quality skiing area. Easy to explore but not overrun with tourists. Diverse slopes at an altitude between 1,900m and 3,250m, wonderful natural snow and magnificent views.

41km of slopes of all difficulty levels, 6 chairlifts, 3 T-bars and the largest aerial cableway in the world. Is that not enough for you? Explore the whole Ortler skiing region, with its more than 280km of slopes! Or get away from the prepared slopes and take a guided skiing tour - the perfect combination of hiking and skiing!

Summer, sun, skiing ...

What's the odd one out? None of them! That's because from May to November, while the hikers are enjoying the mountains around Sulden, you can still ski on the Stilfserjoch Glacier. Expect 30km of skiing fun, as well as a halfpipe for snowboarders and free skiers. However, this is only open from May to November, as the road up to the Stilfserjoch is closed due to the danger of avalanches.

P.S.

In winter, hotel owner Andreas Wallnöfer shows you the most beautiful slopes and viewpoints in the skiing area once a week. You don't want to miss this!
